NAWBO Needs to Grow... Can You Help?

My committee needs volunteers.  Have you ever wanted to help the community but just didn't have hours and hours to spend on a service project?  ME TOO!  I would like to invite a few great ladies that can have a cup of coffee, and meet twice a month to promote NAWBO.  If you know someone in TV, or Print, let your connections help us do what we do best:  Network, Market and Lead.  Please give me a call; I promise our meetings are over a cup of coffee and will not last more than 1 hour.  Thanks!

Shovel Ready Training

There is some irony in those words but the fact is there is a huge chunk of stimulus money for training workers hurt by the economy.  In the area of healthcare alone, there is $600 million to address shortages and prepare us all for universal healthcare by training primary healthcare providers including doctors, dentists and nurses, etc. It appears companies may have to access these funds from federal agencies through Requests for Proposals, Quotes, etc.

There is also money for those "green jobs" we've heard about in our local newspaper.  Home weatherization projects will receive $6.2 billion to help low income families reduce their energy costs by weatherizing their homes and making the country more energy efficient.  If you own a construction comapny, you might want to follow the lead of construction firms who have teamed-up with non profits...Read the full article- CLICK HERE
