Awards Committee
The Awards Committee oversees award recognition for NAWBO Southern Nevada and its members locally and nationally by notifying membership of opportunities for them to receive recognition and awards from other organizations. The committee from time to time may also submit members for recognition directly.
NAWBO (national awards) National Public Policy and Leadership awards, as well as Healthy Chapter Recognition are also submitted for under this committee.
Member Services Committee Chair
The Member Services Committee Chair works, with the assistance of the New Member, Retention and Hospitality Committee Leaders, to ensure membership growth and support by: developing membership recruitment and retention processes, seeing that the membership records are preserved, maintains chapter new member materials and name badge supplies, in addition to other membership support.
New Members’ Leader
The New Member Committee encourages new members to serve on committees and participate in the Chapter’s functions and events. They plan and conduct new member orientations and welcome new members, introducing them to others at other activities. Also, the committee will develop a strategy for recruiting members and providing guests information.
Retention Committee
The key function of the Retention Committee is to retain members. This includes developing and conducting an annual membership survey so the members have a direct vantage point for communication to the chapter’s leadership.
Hospitality Leader
Establish and coordinate a “Hospitality” committee that greets members and guests at all meetings and events
Solicit door prizes as needed for monthly meetings and mixers
Welcome members and introduce them to others at meetings and events.
Develop business after-hours events (mixers) to reflect the chapter’s objectives and to meet the diverse needs of the membership. Remembering that the purpose is to offer casual networking and Chapter promotion.
Marketing Committee
The Marketing Committee develops Chapter marketing materials and promotional items keeping in line with national brand standards guidelines; while maintaining an up-to-date chapter display. They ensure Chapter information is sent to members and Corporate Partners through newsletter (weekly Tuesday News and quarterly The Enterprise) on a regular and timely basis.
They promote the Chapter and its members in order to grow membership and increase Chapter visibility in the greater
